    Access control installation Las Vegas

JDM Automations provides access control installation in Las Vegas for homes and businesses, also serving Henderson, Summerlin and North Las Vegas, starting with a free on-site consultation.

Access control replaces keys with credentials you can issue, track and revoke. We install PDK access control and smart lock systems for Las Vegas homes, offices and shared-entry properties, wired and configured alongside your cameras and network.

Access control installation Las Vegas: planning your installation

A lost key is a rekey. A lost credential is a click. That single difference is why most businesses, and an increasing number of homes, move to access control: staff turnover, tradespeople, cleaners, guests and short-term access all become manageable rather than disruptive.

The second benefit is the record. Access control logs who opened which door and when, which turns a camera system from footage you have to search into footage you can jump straight to. Paired with cameras at the same door, you get both the event and the picture.

    PDK Access Control

We install PDK access control systems, which suit small and mid-sized properties well: cloud-managed, browser and app based, with credentials issued from anywhere rather than from a dedicated machine on site. Adding a new user, changing a schedule or revoking access does not require a service call.

A typical deployment covers the doors that matter — main entry, back of house, server or storage rooms, gates — each with a reader, a locking device and a wired run back to the controller. Schedules control when doors unlock automatically, and credentials control who gets in outside those hours.

    Smart Locks for Residential Entry

For homes, the right answer is often smart locks rather than a full commercial system. August, Yale and Schlage locks give you keypad or app entry, guest codes with expiry, auto-lock and a record of who came and went. They integrate with the rest of a smart home platform so the door can trigger lights or a camera clip.

Short-term rental owners in the valley use this constantly: a fresh code for each guest, automatically expiring at checkout, no key handover and no lockbox. We set that up alongside cameras at the entry so the whole arrival experience is covered.

    Cabling and Integration

Access control is a wiring job first. Readers, locking hardware, request-to-exit devices and door position sensors all need runs back to a controller, and the controller needs power and a network connection. We plan those runs with the rest of the low-voltage work, so cabling for doors, cameras and access points happens in one pass rather than three visits.

Because we also install the camera systems and networks, the pieces get configured to work together: a camera covering each controlled door, the access system on an appropriate network segment, and remote access set up securely.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between access control and a smart lock?

A smart lock is a single door device with its own app, ideal for homes and rentals. An access control system manages many doors centrally, with shared credentials, schedules, permission groups and an audit log across the whole property. Small businesses usually want access control; most homes are well served by smart locks.

Can I give temporary access to a cleaner, tradesperson or guest?

Yes. Both smart locks and access control support time-limited codes or credentials, so access can start and end on a schedule. Revoking access is immediate and does not involve collecting anything back.

Can you install equipment I already bought?

Tell us the make and model during your free on-site consultation. Compatibility, condition and the installation scope are confirmed before we recommend using or replacing existing equipment.

Do you serve businesses as well as homes?

Yes. JDM Automations provides low voltage installation for homes and businesses in the Las Vegas valley and listed nearby service areas. We confirm the requirements for your property during the consultation.

    How long does installation take?

Timing depends on the equipment, cable routes, wall construction and access to the property. We confirm the expected installation schedule during your free on-site consultation rather than promising a fixed duration.
