TV mounting is more than hanging a bracket. The mount has to be rated for the size and weight of the display and fastened into structure — studs in a framed wall, or anchors set into solid material in brick, stone or block. Height is set around seated eye level for the room rather than a fixed number, and glare from windows and recessed lighting is worth checking before anything is drilled.
The other half of the job is what you do not see. HDMI and low-voltage cable can run inside the wall between recessed plates, with power handled by a code-compliant method rather than a cord pushed through drywall. That is the difference between a clean panel on the wall and a bundle of cables hanging below it.

Above-fireplace placement needs a tilting or pull-down mount, clearance that respects the TV manufacturer's temperature limits, and a cable path around the firebox. We check heat conditions before committing to the location.
